NEXI-Dx
Sample-to-answer in 15 - 20 minutes
Our newest offering, the NEXI-Dx, achieves rapid isothermal DNA/RNA amplification using microfluidics embedded within the cartridge itself — a breakthrough in this kind of technology. Since there are no moving mechanical parts nor fluids inside the instrument, all reagents and samples are efficiently contained within the platform.
Low cost carbon array for electronic manipulation of target/reagents
Low cost: per sample and instrument cost
1-2 minutes hands-on time, fully automated
3-5 minutes multiplexed (up to 100) isothermal target amplification time
Low complexity platform, targeting walk-in clinics, doctor's offices, small hospitals, and emergency rooms
Thorough validation of platform through DARPA and CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) collaborations
NEXI-SP
DNA extraction completed within 6-12 minutes for 24 samples
The NEXI-SP has an extraction efficiency comparable or exceeding the leading kits on the market. It uniquely combines chemical, mechanical, and enzymatic processes for efficient lysis. Sample types tested successfully include whole blood, swabs, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid, nasopharyngeal lavages, bronchoalveoral lavages, endotracheal aspirates, tissue samples, and insects
Low cost: per sample and instrument cost
Open protocols platform accepting user reagents and protocols
Targets all molecular biology R&D, medical, clinical laboratories
Reagent kits for generic sample preparation and DNA/RNA extraction are available separately
CAS-100
DNA/RNA extraction, PCR amplification and fluorescence detection within 45 minutes for PCR and 20-25 minutes with isothermal amplification , depending on the assay type
The CAS-100 is a Sample-to-Answer system for 6 cartridges that utilizes Carbon Array Technology, enabling up to 100 analytes per test with up to two cartridges (samples) per assay run. It is electrophoretic, and active accumulation of DNA targets enables hybridization to specific probes within minutes (compared to hours or overnight binding on passive arrays.)
Random Access - 3 assays run independently and simultaneously
2 minutes hands-on time
Assay panels for human infectious, emergent and travellers' diseases ( developed through broad partnerships)
